This movie was fantastic! I just watched it twice in a row this weekend, after waiting forever to get a chance. I was so impressed by the creativity and effort. The soundtrack was amazing, the cinematography was definitely some of the best for an independant film (and really awesome). I am working through the special features now. I would reccomend this to any family. It was so refreshing to watch a CLEAN film, with feminine women, manly men, and alot of humor! Gator Moore is fantastic! He was so natural and good on-screen. I hope to see him in something else one day soon! John Moore and Cameron Heidrick were the next best, and could really carry of a funny scene as well as the serious ones. If I would pick one word for this movie, it would be just plain GOOD. So rare these days. Make another one soon, HeuMoore!
As a homeschool family, we have a heart desire to see all families working together in God's kingdom work. This is an encouraging movie. We have already watched it two times . The whole family really enjoyed seeing homeschool families, dressed modestly, standing up for unpopular beliefs in this anti-Christian times. God always bless and keep you wholly His and Holy! Thanks again.
I don't watch a lot of movies, and when I was required to watch this one at a character training program in OKC, I must admit, I was a little sceptic. Good conservative, God-honoring Christian movies just don't happen. But, you proved me wrong. I was impressed not only by the message, but also by the quality, music and conservative dress. God bless you guys, and keep it up!
Hi! We watched your movie and really liked it! We also watched Heartstrings and Bouble Trouble! All 3 movies are very good! We homeschool, too :) and it's cool to see that homeschoolers made this movie. Smiles
Can't wait for your next movie!

I LOVED it!!!! I am also homeschooled and was encoured by this film. It's not to ofen you see a "clean" movie. I really liked the cowboy theme, being a county gal and all. My mom and I loved the music, and I can't wait to up coming films.
Your movie was amazing. As someone who loves making Christian films, I was blown away by the quality of this movie. You obviously spent lots of time and effort creating this astounding film.
Keep up the good work!
Man guys, this movie was simply fantastic! There's not much more in the film world I like then seeing top-notch Christian movies. This should have been in theaters =P This is a movie I'll be seeing again and again.
God bless you guys

The movie was excellent.A classic story of men (and women)standing up to defend the defenseless. My 7 and 8 year old boys watched it along with my wife and I,and they loved it.It led to much family discussion regarding James 1:27,and the protection of widows and orphans. But as a NYC trade unionist,I take exception to Gator's anti trade union quip in the beginning of the movie...just kidden.
An excellent film with a powerful message for all Americans delivered in a fun and entertaining manner. A must "watch" for all families interested in the the well-being of our country.
Great film men!
A film a could let my children watch without first screening it. This was because of your last film Heartstrings, that was clean and had a deep message.
This film spoke to me of Honour, Manliness (men taking the lead and challenge), availability (Jim Morton) and so much more. It was also good to see modesty which is so lacking even in "Christian" film today.
Thanks. God bless you as you serve the Lord in the medium of film.
Wow! What an awesome film! Truely an American message. Please keep up the good work!
God Bless,
Patrick
When I sat down to see this film I was expecting another mediocre quality christian film. The first two minutes of the film proved me wrong. Excellent story, cinematography, music, and entertainment! I bought the soundtrack and movie on the spot.
Having followed the production updates of The Widow's Might for months before it's release, I was overjoyed when
it was completed and even more thrilled when it received such high accolades from the SAICFF and countless others.
Much credit goes to John Moore, David Huestis, their families, all the actors, and all those involved behind the scenes.
But know what? What makes this movie so humorous, touching, and well-done is that Jesus Christ is at the center of it all,
and because of this, all praise goes straight to Him.

This movie should be seen by everyone! There are several very important messages in this QUALITY film. It is also fun to watch and the music is a blessing to the ear!! We had wanted to purchase it for a while but kept putting it off. We bought it for the message and fun value but were amazed/delighted at the quality.
The message embodies James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Be blessed y'all!
HueMoore productions has has outdone themselves. Combining multiple genera, The Widow's Might is a comical western musical telling a story of modern day politics, religion and film making, teaching solid values while respecting the family--an impressive task for young independent film makers with a shoestring budget. Yet, John Moore and David Heustis present a beautiful piece in stunning high definition blue-ray that most importantly, is a call to arms for apathetic churches, families and individuals.
I'll be blunt: The Widow's Might is the best film I've ever watched, period. In the past 6 months, I've seen this film probably 10 times, and still love it. Without a doubt, HueMoore has produced a new christian classic. Enjoy.
During our time in the USA while listening to American radio and listening and watching American news, I became strongly aware of the political madness and possible disaster that their great nation is headed for. I had heard grumblings from our southern neighbors but they were very extreme, and I questioned whether it was an overreaction, but after 28 days in the USA, I am not so sure they were overreacting. It was quite troubling. Other than be continually disturbed, I had a thought that continually ran through my head: people need to see The Widow's Might! I thought The Widow's Might was a good film, but a bit heavy handed against taxes in Texas, which honestly, doesn't apply to a lot of people. But as we drove and listened, and observed, I began to see that The Widow's Might is not about taxes in Texas, it is about today, todays government, it is for the people of America today. Just like in the movie, the public has allowed and even helped to create the situation we see today, and just like in the The Widow's Might, those same people are the ones who can repent and then fix the problem. The Widow's Might is an important film for todays culture, urging men to stand up, take responsibility, and bring about cultural repentance and restoration.
If you have not seen the film, I strongly urge you to see it and watch it in the light of todays events. If you have seen if before, I strongly urge you to watch it again with these things in mind and then show it to others. As the cowboy sang: "Be strong and of good courage men... and then, we'll have justice once again!"
Interesting format--making a movie about a movie, the transitions from "live" to "movie" makes you think. Wonderful music score though I had trouble catching all the words being sung. Good storyline. How about some background music during the talking scenes; something seems to be missing during the dialogue times.
Very talented families! Gator is a natural actor; hope to see more of him.
Keep me posted on future films.
will the next film have some special features on the DVD?
I loved this movie!! It shows the battle good people, not just Christians, face all the time. And that is doing the right thing even when things get in your way. And to put that in a movie, showing good values, and it be a movie any one can love, congrats! This movie is so moving...
Wow, fellows. OUTSTANDING movie! It was superbly well done in terms of storyline, visual and audio effects, action, music, acting talent, creativity, and principles. I also greatly appreciate the intelligent humor in the film, instead of the typical mindless drivel. I don't think I can stress enough that the talent is this film was brilliant. I watched The Pendragon, and that was okay; you could tell it was pretend and the story itself wasn't riveting, but not The Widows Might! It is now one of my absolute favorites! It not only portrayed Christian values and filmmaking well, but also family and homeschooling, doing what's right no matter the outcome (I also love westerns and good music, so it had a personal interest for me). Great movie for the whole family. What really impresses me is that this movie was written and put together by young people. WAY TO GO! Thanks, people, and keep up the good work!
Loved it!!!!!
My Uncle who work on Hollywood films came to the 2008 film festival in San Antonio. But he had to leave in the middle of it because it was found out that my cousin had cancer. But before he left he said your movie was the best of them all.
Keep doing what you are doing for the Lord.
God Bless.
You will find a delightful, entertaining, imaginative, God-affirming, family-affirming movie unlike anything else you have ever seen. With teenagers like John Moore and his friends growing up in the Lone Star State, there is much hope for Texas and for the rest of our nation. Bravo to these fine young filmmakers. - Bob Williams, The Christian Observer
It knocked the audience out of their chair and got them to stand up more than 3 times after the film was over. I have NEVER seen such a response from an audience, the noise was ear busting. The film fit like a glove... it was perfect.
The Widow’s Might is clever, entertaining, funny, serious, inspiring and weighty at different times and it is produced at a high level of excellence.
Fantastic! I found out about this movie through a connection with a couple of the actors. I ordered it months ago expecting it to be decent and funny, but when I watched it for the first time last night, I was blown away! The film quality was great, the music was so much better than I expected, the acting was very well done, and the story was nothing short of phenomenal! I love seeing groups of believers coming together and creating a film that the every day person can identify with, and that contains a real and thought-out story (as opposed to a canned plot).I am going to recommend this movie to everyone I can. Great job!
What an encouragement this film was to my family! It was such a joy to watch something that I could recommend to anyone! Most films I find myself flinching AT LEAST once. I'm so blessed to say that this film was "flinch" free! What a great way to demonstrate a loving family and a passion for the truth, with some wonderful comedy mixed in!
God bless you and your future endeavors!

I was able to see the Widow's Might for the first time in San Antonio, Texas at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival earlier this year. It was our family's favorite featured film. This film was well thought out, wholly Christian based, and enjoyable for all ages. It makes a wonderful change from all the anti-Christian films that are out there today. Seeing whole families work together on projects, standing firm on Christian principles against men who would steal from the poor and weak. Instead of parents being treated as idiots, the children as unruly brats, and bad guys as not really bad was a breath of fresh air! My family and I look forward to the next film!
I loved the movie it was well made and had a great moral. i had personal fun helping out being an extra in the western part. The film had a good moral stand point the women were dressed modestly and the men behaved appropriately. i loved the film and i thought they did a great job and am looking forward to the next HeuMoore film
Although I thought the film was very well made and a delight to help with and watch, what was more interesting to me was the appeal it had on my 7 children. My children understood what the film was about and were engaged in the story and were easily entertained, especially by the well written and choreographed humor. Along with the few films that came out this year, including "The Secrets of Jonathon Sperry" and "Expelled", The Widow's Might is perhaps one of the best Christian films to come out in a long time. I also heard the music wasn't too bad, either.
...The film is at heart a family film, made for people of any age. Kids will no doubt eat up the film, all the elements in it are tailor made to appeal to children, especially the western sequences. The music in the film is excellent, probably one of my favorite parts of the film. I’m not sure anything of this sort has been done in a “Christian” film before, and if it has, I doubt it has been done to this quality level...
